Corruption

(Noun):

Dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery; political corruption occurs when an office-holder or other government employee acts in an official capacity for personal gain.

Wikipedia defines "political corruption" as "the use of powers by government officials or their network contacts for illegitimate private gain." Transparency International notes that politically corrupt politicians make decisions that "benefit those who fund them. The public interest comes second."
